Words in a minute
You say as many words as you can in a category or beginning with a letter for about a minute; the task records a neutral word count to keep and share, never a score or a result. Audio is handled on-device with your consent.

What this task looks at
This task looks at saying words in a set time — you name as many words as you can that fit a category, and in another trial, words starting with a given letter.
What you'll do
Two short trials of about 60 seconds each — one category, one letter. It's gentle throughout. Before recording, Lantern asks for microphone consent and processes audio on your device; you choose whether to keep a recording or only the measurement, and deleting is straightforward.
What it records
Neutral measurements:
- Word count — how many valid words you said (a count).
- Timing — simple timing measurements across the trial.
Each is shown with its units and the method version used, plus a short note on what the task looked at. These are a count and timing only.
What it does not do
It does not tell you whether your fluency or language is normal, worse, or a sign of anything. It records numbers; your clinician interprets them.
Not the same as
This is an original, own-authored task. It is not and is not equivalent to FAS / COWAT or animal/category fluency as clinical tests. This task does not reproduce them.
