Data deletion request

You are in control of your Lantern data, and you can have it erased at any time. There are two ways to do this — you do not need the app or an account to make a request from here.

Delete your data inside the app

The fastest way is from within Lantern itself:

Open Settings in the app.
Choose Delete everything (or select specific items to remove).
Confirm. Data held on your device is erased immediately; anything synced to our servers is queued for erasure under the retention periods below.

Because Lantern is offline-first and stores your record encrypted on your device, deleting the app and its data from your phone also removes the on-device copy. Use the web request below if you cannot access the app, or you want us to confirm server-side erasure in writing.

Data deletion & retention policy

This section sets out what happens after you ask us to delete your data, and how long different kinds of data are kept. These periods are Wellnetix Ltd's intended policy and are subject to confirmation on final data-protection review before launch.

How we handle a request

We acknowledge your request, normally within 5 working days.
We verify it is really you (or that you are authorised to act for the account holder). We may ask a question to confirm this before we erase anything — this protects your data from someone else deleting it.
We erase your data within the periods below and, if you ask, confirm in writing once it is done.

Retention periods

Exceptions

We may need to keep a limited amount of information for longer where the law requires it, or to protect people — for example:

a minimal log showing a deletion request was received and completed, to demonstrate compliance;
information we are legally obliged to retain, or that we must keep to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim; or
anything a safeguarding or legal obligation requires us to preserve.

Where an exception applies, we keep only what is strictly necessary, for no longer than necessary, and isolate it from ordinary use. We do not use any retained data for advertising, profiling, or sale.

What deletion does and doesn't reach

Deletion covers the data Wellnetix Ltd holds for your account and the on-device copy you remove.
Deletion cannot reach copies that have already, on your instruction, left Lantern — for example a summary or export you have already shared with a clinician, which is then held under their own records and policies. Ask the recipient to delete those separately.
