Sensation self-map
An opt-in body map you mark yourself to show where you notice altered feeling. It is your own report, kept verbatim with a simple count — never a test result and never a reassurance that sensation is fine.
⚠ This is NOT a test — it is your own report. A phone cannot check your sensation. See a clinician for anything to do with numbness, tingling, or your feet.
Experimental check-in — not a cleared or approved medical device. This is off by default and opt-in only. It records your own report for you to keep and share. It will never tell you your sensation is fine, and it never diagnoses. Only a clinician can assess sensation.
What this looks at
An own-authored outline of the body and feet that you mark yourself — you tap regions where you notice numbness, tingling, burning, or altered feeling, choose a type per region, and add your own notes. This is your account, not a measurement of anything.
What you'll do
After an explicit warning and opt-in, you mark regions on the outline and add notes. A persistent warning stays on screen throughout.
What it records
- Your marked map and notes — kept exactly as you recorded them.
- A simple count — a plain, clearly non-diagnostic tally of the regions you marked.
This is shown with a self-report and experimental label and the standing warning. It is your own record and a count only.
What it does not do
It does not produce a test result and does not say your sensation is normal, fine, or intact — it can't, so it never does. If what you record could point to something urgent (for example a foot problem), Lantern points you to seek prompt clinical advice rather than reassuring you.
Not the same as
This is your own self-report. It is not and is not equivalent to a 10 g Semmes-Weinstein monofilament, pinprick testing, or quantitative sensory testing. It does not reproduce or substitute for them.
⚠ Not a test — your own report. Experimental, opt-in only, not a cleared or approved medical device. Records your own account and a count only — no diagnosis, no interpretation, and never reassurance about your sensation. See a clinician.
See all the check-in tasks
Each task records one kind of neutral measurement — for reflection and conversation with a clinician, never a diagnosis.
