Colour–word task
You respond to the ink colour of a word even when the word says a different colour; the task records your timing as a neutral measurement to keep and share, never a score or a result.

What this task looks at
This task looks at responding to colour when a word disagrees with it — a word's meaning and its ink colour are sometimes the same and sometimes different, and you respond to the ink colour.
What you'll do
Across a series of short trials, you respond to the ink colour you see. Some trials match (the word and colour agree); some don't. A Stop button is always visible.
What it records
Neutral timing measurements:
- Timing difference — the difference in response time between matching and mismatching trials, in milliseconds (ms).
- Error rate — the proportion of incorrect responses.
Each is shown with its units and the method version used, plus a short note on what the task looked at. These describe timing only.
What it does not do
It does not tell you whether your attention is good, poor, normal, or a sign of anything. It records timing numbers; your clinician interprets them.
Not the same as
This is an original, own-authored task. It is not and is not equivalent to the Stroop Test as a clinical instrument or the Stroop Color and Word Test. This task does not reproduce them.
